Library Services

  • Library cardholders may check out books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, games, puzzles, puppets, STEAM activity kits, and more. We are adding new materials to our collections regularly, so let us know if you have a suggestion.

  • If you are looking for an item that isn't in our collection, we may be able to help you access it. Cardholders can ask a librarian to request books and media from other libraries. Requests can be made at the circulation desk, by calling, emailing frontdesk@chesterfieldlibrary.org, or through this form. Requests typically arrive within one to two weeks if they are available. To browse the New Hampshire Automated Information System (NHAIS) to see if other libraries own an item, click here.

  • Audiobooks and e-books are both available for cardholders to download through the NH State Library. More information on downloadable books is available here.

  • The Library hosts several book clubs for children and adults. More information on our book clubs can be found here. We also assist book clubs, public and private, in procuring books through our Inter-Library Loan (ILL) program.

A cellphone charging station and grounded outlets are also available for visitor use inside the library.
