We organize community events and sponsor library programs that promote literacy for all ages. The Friends of the Chesterfield Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

Meeting dates

The Friends of the Chesterfield Library meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm at the Chesterfield Library.

Recent Support Provided to the Library

Programs and purchases the Friends have supported in the past include, but are not limited to: children’s summer reading programs, including wildlife education; various adult presentations; electronic equipment, Author’s Contest; software programs; Little Free Library installation at Wares Grove Beach; Children’s Garden update project and many more ongoing needs that enhance our Chesterfield Library.
Little Free Library #132244 – located at Ware's Grove Beach

The Friends of Chesterfield Library purchased and installed a Little Free Library at Ware's Grove Beach. A Little Free Library is a free book-sharing box where anyone may take a book or share a book. It functions on the honor system. You do not need to share a book in order to take one. Anyone may contribute or take books; the more the merrier! You do not need to return the exact book; however, in order to keep the little library full of good choices for the whole neighborhood, please bring a few books to share the next time you visit. Everyone can contribute to ensure there are always quality books inside. Little Free Libraries inspire readers and expand book access for all.
